Poco M2 Overview
POCO has quickly become everyone’s favorite smartphone in Nepal. It is a highly powered device that can give a stiff competition to high end handsets.
Infused with a powerful RAM and a massive internal storage, POCO M2 is currently ruling the low end mobile market.
The company has launched two new models this year and the specs look promising. After a long time, we have witnessed such a good budget smartphone.
Display and Design
The Pocco M2 has a 6.53 inch display with 2340 x 1080 Pixels. The FHD+ display allows you to watch high quality videos with realistic clarity and details.
This IPS display has a contrast and NTSC ratio of 1500:1 (typ) and 70% (typ) with a pixel density of 395 ppi.
Furthermore, the screen is also protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 3, which is almost the same type of protection used by Realme C11 and Oppo A1K.
The gorilla glass will help in protecting the screen from small fall and scratches. Poco M2 has a P2i certification that means it is safe from a few water splashes and rust.
From the front, it is somewhat similar but has better design than Coolpad Cool 5 and Nokia 2.4.
That means there is a selfie camera, which is placed on a small notch, on the forehead of the device.
At the back of the phone, the top part is smooth whereas the bottom part has a line finishing for a better grip.
This way even when you hold the device with a wet hand, the chances of it slipping is minimal. The Poco M2 has a polycarbonate body and is available in three color options of Slate Blue, Pitch Black and Brick Red.
The back of the phone has a quad camera setup, a LED flash and a fingerprint sensor packed in a pill like structure.
While the right side is a home to a volume and a power button, the left has a triple card slot sim tray. Similarly, on the bottom, there lies a type-C port, main microphone, 3.5mm audio jack and speaker.
The top part of the smartphone has a secondary microphone and an infrared sensor which lets you control any TV and AC.

Even after playing games for hours, the phone was only mild hot. Additionally, the device also runs on Android 10.
Speaking of the memory, Poco M2 comes in three memory configurations and all of them are large as compared to phones of this level.
While the lowest model comes with 4GB+64GB, the middle and highest variant is available in 6GB+64GB and 6GB+128GB respectively.
But it does not stop here, there is also a dedicated memory card slot and using this you can grow the storage to maximum 512GB.

Moreover, M2 has a few camera settings like AI scene detection, HDR imaging, AI portrait mode, phase detection autofocus, portrait mode with background blurring and face recognition.
Some features such as digital zoom, auto flash and touch to focus come built-in with this device.
